Regional Science Centre, Tirupati is celebrating 76th REPUBLIC DAY on January 26th, 2025
Famous TV - ఆంధ్రప్రదేశ్ / తిరుపతి : As a part of the celebrations Tricolour National Flag was hoisted at centre at 9.00 am by Srinivasa Nehru K, Project Coordinator. Centre also organised an Artifact & Numismatic Exhibition displaying artifacts & coins of pre & post independence era. The exhibition was inaugurated by Project Coordinator. The exhibition was organised in association with Tirupati Numismatic & Philatelic Society, Tirupati. Exhibition showcased the coins of Vijayanagara Empire, Nizams, Delhi Sulthanate, Bijapur Sulthanates, 1915 manufactured Pedestal Fan which works on Kerosene, old typewriter, binocular, fountain pens, News Paper of 15th August, 1947 & many more. is organised as a part of Azadi Ka Amrot Mahotsav. Shri Suryadevara Harikrishna, Vice Chairman, Tirupati Urban Development Authority (TUDA) Tirupati inaugurated the exhibition at 10.30 am today. Nearly 133 Freedom fighters portrait paintings sketched by 73 artists are displayed in the exhibition. After visiting the exhibition chief guest applauded the effort of the the centre in organising such exhibition in bringing back the memories of freedom fighters and introducing them to the younger generations. Such exhibitions will be a great tribute to the struggle of these freedom fighters in bringing freedom to the nation. Exhibition will be displayed for the public till 30th January 2023.
