The Group that came into existence in 1985 as Amara Raja Power Systems has now transformed itself with 6 companies, 17 businesses and 16,000+ employee count. As part of the Foundation Day celebration, the Group announced the winners of the Amara Raja Better Way Awards to take forward its legacy of providing better access to better opportunities. At the event, 3 rural entrepreneurs were selected and given Rs 3 lakh cash prize and one-year-long mentorship with Amara Raja CXOs in marketing, HR, finance and supply chain and also distributed 135 employees long service awards to 25 years above experience employees.With an aim to make Tirupati roads safer, the Group also announced its Road Safety Awareness Drive. The event also saw felicitation of community leaders who have supported Amara Raja in its 38 years long journey. India’s first woman IPS officer Dr. Kiran Bedi motivated the employees by talking about her inspiring life journey.
